Bhākarwadi, also spelled as Bakarwadi, is a traditional sweet and spicy snack. Bhakaharwadi are from Two Different Origin one is from Vadodara Gujarat and another is from Pune Maharastra.(Source : Wikipedia)

For Dough
  • 1 cup Maida(plain flour)
  • 2 tbsp Besan (gram flour)
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 tsp Carom seeds (ajwain)
  • 1/4 cup Oil
  • to knead dough Water
For Masala
  • 2 tbsp Sesame seeds(til)
  • 2 tbsp coconut chura
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 tbsp Fennel seeds
  • 1 tbsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp  Red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
Other
  • Tamarind Paste (imli) chutney
  • Oil for deep fry

Instructions
For Dough
  1. Take all ingredient in a mixing bowl. Mix it and knead a soft dough.
  2. Cover and keep aside to set.
For Masala
  1. Take all ingredients into mixer jar, grind it and make a fine powder.
  2. Now make balls from the dough and roll into oval shape.
  3. Cut into two equal portion and spread imli chutney over the edges.
  4. Spread masala mixture top of imli chutney.
  5. Roll it gently and seal the edges.
  6. Cut into equal portion and press them gently. Keep aside.
  7. Make same way rest of the other bakarwadi.
  8. Deep fry the bakarwadi on medium heat oil till it turns golden brown.
  9. Transfer into bowl and serve.
