Lauki ka halwa is a dessert. A very nutritious dish as it contains lauki or bottle gourd, milk and dry fruits.

  • 1 bowl Grated lauki
  • 1/4 cup Milk powder
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Almond slices
  • 1/4 cup Kishmish
  • 7-8 Saffron strands
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamon powder
  • 1/4 tsp jaifal powder
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Milk powder
  • 1 tbsp Ghee

  • 1 bowl Grated lauki
  • 1/4 cup Milk powder
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Almond slices
  • 1/4 cup Kishmish
  • 7-8 Saffron strands
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamon powder
  • 1/4 tsp jaifal powder
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Milk powder
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
Instructions
  1. Heat a pan,place grated lauki and saute for 10 minutes on low flame or till water burns.
  2. After that, add sugar, Milk powder and milk. Mix it well. Also add jaifal powder, cardamom powder and dry fruits. Mix it well and keep stirring till milk thickens and lauki gets cooked completely and the mixture thickens and forms a mass.
  3. Add 1 tbsp ghee,mix it. and cook for 5 minutes more.
  4. Now transfer lauki halwa into a bowl.
  5. Garnish with kishmish and almond slices.
  6. Serve hot or chill.
