For Gravy
  • 1 tsp Oil
  • 1 medium Onion (chopped)
  • 2 medium Tomato (chopped)
  • 2-3 Green chilli (chopped)
  • 1 tsp Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp  Red chili powder
For Moong Curry
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 3-4 Cloves
  • 5-6 Curry leaves
  • pinch Hing
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp  Red chili powder
  • 2 cubes Jaggery (gud)
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 cup Boiled moong(green gram)
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice

  • 1 cup Boiled moong(green gram)
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
Instructions
For Gravy
  1. Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan and add onion, tomato, green chili, ginger-garlic paste.
  2. Mix it well and saute for 1 minute on medium flame.
  3. After that, add turmeric powder and red chili powder in a pan.
  4. Mix and blend it. Make a fine puree.
For Moong Curry
  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cloves, curry leaves and hing. saute for few seconds.
  2. After that, add puree in a pan and mix it well. Saute for 1 to 2 minutes on medium flame.
  3. Add salt, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, jaggery and water. Mix it. cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. After 5 minutes, add boiled moong in a gravy.
  5. Mix it and add garam masala and lemon juice. Cover and cook for 1 minute.
  6. Transfer into bowl and serve with any bread.
