Paneer Tikka

Paneer Tikka Bbq | Barbecue or barbeque (informally BBQ or barbie) is a cooking method, a style of food, and a name for a meal or gathering at which this style of food is cooked and served. Barbecuing is done slowly over low, indirect heat and the food is flavored by the smoking process, while grilling, a related process, is generally done quickly over moderate-to-high direct heat that produces little smoke.

Paneer tikka is an Indian dish made from chunks of paneer marinated in spices and grilled in a tandoor.  It is a vegetarian alternative to chicken tikka and other meat dishes.  It is a popular dish that is widely available in India and countries with Indian diaspora. (Source: Wikipedia)

  • 6 cubes Paneer
  • 2 pinches Salt
  • 2 pinches  Red chili powder
  • 1 cup Hung curd
  • few Coriander leaves (chopped)
  • 1 tsp Ginger-garlic paste
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/4 cup mustard oil
  • 1 tsp Carom seeds (ajwain)
  • 2 Green chili  (fine chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Besan (gram flour)
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Kasuri Methi crushed
  • Cut vegetable(Capsicum, tomato, onion)
  • 6-7 satay stick
  • Oil for roast

Instructions
  1. Take paneer cubes to a plate and sprinkle some salt and red chili powder. Mix it well.
  2. Keep aside paneer plate for 2 minutes.
  3. Now, take a mixing bowl and add hung curd, coriander leaves, salt, and ginger-garlic paste. Mix it well and keep aside.
  4. Heat mustard oil into a pan and add ajwain and green chili. Saute for few seconds
  5. After that, add besan, turmeric powder, and kasuri methi into the pan and stir fry for 1 minute
  6. Transfer the mixture into the curd bowl. Mix it well.
  7. Now, take the paneer cubes and rub paneer into the curd marination.
  8. Same way rub all the veggies in the marination and keep aside for 10 minutes.
  9. After 10 minutes, this mixture skewers onto satay sticks and put to a plate.
  10. Heat oil into a grill pan and put the sticks and roast it on medium flame till it turns golden brown on both sides.
  11. Transfer paneer tikka into a plate.
  12. Serve paneer tikka with green chutney and salad.
