  • 3/4 cup Maida(plain flour)
  • 1/3 cup Wheat flour
  • 4 tsp Sugar
  • pinch Salt
  • 1 tsp Green cardamom powder
  • 1.5 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 cup Chopped pineapple
  • Ghee

  • 3/4 cup Maida(plain flour)
  • 1/3 cup Wheat flour
  • 4 tsp Sugar
  • pinch Salt
  • 1 tsp Green cardamom powder
  • 1.5 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 cup Chopped pineapple
  • Ghee
Instructions
  1. Place chopped pineapple in a blender and make a smooth puree. Transfer it into a big mixing bowl.
  2. After that, add plain flour, wheat flour, sugar, salt, green cardamom powder, baking soda and ghee.
  3. Mix everything really well. If batter is too thick then add some water. so, the consistency of batter is same as required for making pakodas.
  4. Keep aside the batter for 10 to 15 minutes and then make pancake from it.
  5. After 15 minutes the batter is ready to make appam.
  6. Preheat an appam maker and pour 1/4 tsp ghee in each mold.
  7. Fill each mold with the batter, then cover with a lid and let them simmer for 1 to 2 minutes on low-medium flame.
  8. When the appams get golden brown from beneath, flip the side and continue cooking until golden brown from this side as well. It can take 2 minutes.
  9. Cook the appam until they get golden brown on both the sides.
  10. Take out the appams in a plate and similarly prepare the rest as well.
  11. Garnish with cashew nuts and kishmish.
  12. Serve hot.
