Bhakri is a round flat unleavened bread often used in the cuisine of the states of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa states in India, along with several regions of western and central India, including areas of Rajasthan, Malwa, and Karnataka. It is coarser than a regular wheat roti. It can be either soft or hard in texture, similar to Khakhra in respect to hardness.

  • 1 cup Sabudana
  • 1/2 cup Boiled, Mashed potato
  • 3 Green chili  (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 cup Roasted peanut
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • to taste Salt
  • few Coriander leaves (chopped)
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • to roast bhakri Oil

  • 1/2 cup Boiled, Mashed potato

  • 1/4 cup Roasted peanut
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • to taste Salt
  • few Coriander leaves (chopped)
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • to roast bhakri Oil
Instructions
  1. Soak sabudana in a enough water for 4 to 5 hours or overnight.
  2. After that, drain it and place in a mixing bowl.
  3. Also add potato, green chili, roasted peanut, sugar, salt, coriander leaves and lemon juice in a bowl.
  4. Mix everything really well and mash it with the help of masher.
  5. Now make balls from the mixture.
  6. Put ball on a aluminium foil, grease your hand with oil and press ball, give them round bhakri shape.
  7. Heat tava and grease some oil on a tava. Roast bhakri from both side till it turns light golden brown.
  8. Meanwhile cook rest of the bhakri.
  9. Transfer it to a plate. serve hot.
