Tandoori Paneer roll

Tandoori Paneer Roll is famous street food in India. I have tried the Tandoori Paneer Roll on the streets of Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, and Ahmedabad. The recipes and the taste were not the same at all. This recipe is my take and that without Maida.

Basically, paneer is deep in Tandoori mixture and then Grilled on a pan. That’s why we call it Tandoori Paneer. The secret of taste is the Tandoori sauce or mixture.

For Dough
  • 1.5 cup Wheat flour
  • to taste Salt
  • 3 tsp Oil
  • to knead a dough Water
  • 1 tsp Carom seeds (ajwain)
For filling
  • 1/2 cup Hung curd
  • 1/4 cup Besan (gram flour)
  • 1 tsp Butter
  • 1 tbsp  Red chili powder
  • 1 tbsp Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp Kasuri Methi crushed
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 tbsp Tandoori sandwich sauce
  • 1 tsp mustard sauce
  • 8-10 Paneer cubes
  • for spread Catch-up
  • 1 small Sliced onion
  • Frankie masala
  • Oil

  • 8-10 Paneer cubes

Instructions
  1. Take wheat flour, salt, oil, and ajwain into a bowl. Mix it well and knead a tight dough with water.
  2. Cover the dough and give them a rest for 15 minutes.
  3. Take another bowl and add hung curd, besan, butter, red chili powder, kasuri methi, salt, tandoori sandwich sauces, and mustard sauces. Mix it well.
  4. Now, add paneer cubes into the bowl, mix it and marinate it for 15 minutes.
  5. After 15 minutes, put on medium hot tava and roast it for 5 minutes.
  6. Now, make balls from the dough and roll it into a round shape. Put them on medium hot tava and roast it till well cooked.
  7. Take cooked chapati on a plate and spread catch-up and sprinkle some salt and Frankie masala.
  8. Now, put the onion and the tandoori paneer on top of chapati.
  9. Roll the chapati and serve hot.
